I genuinely would like to know how you square away your faith on the back of the historical fiction of the Torah.

I briefly skimmed over your writings – I would have read some, but I don’t have time because of school assignments.
You seem very intelligent!
I have but one pressing question come to mind: Why do you believe in God?
I do not mean to be negative in any way, shape or form, but I am genuinely curious as to what leads intelligent people to Believe?
Personally, I am agnostic. Perhaps an Apathetic one, or an apatheist I think it’s called. I don’t believe, and don’t not believe. I don’t think there is sufficient evidence to falsify or validate His existence, or Their (multiple gods) existence. However, I am spiritual, and do sometimes practice ancestral worship to pray for good luck and fortune (indoctrinated by Lao Theravada Buddhist parents…). Anyway, I do not “believe” in it per se, but merely “hope” that it is true – that there is genuinely dead relatives watching over me. I will never attribute anything to their doing, nor God or that of any god, but I won’t not attribute it to them either! I am indifferent! I would like to know why you, and others of higher intelligence than average, have Faith.

I’m flattered by the kind words, your open-mindedness and sincerity are rather refreshing, and a nice change of pace I might add, glad to have you here!
I have decided to dedicate your question to my next post, I feel that it definitely warrants a considerate response. One that I most certainly do not take lightly ๐
